NHMF Study Tour 2015

The Study Tour 2015, Wednesday 21 until Friday 23 October 2015, will take place in Denmark.

This study tour is for members of the NHMF committee and Directors or Senior managers working in the maintenance or asset management of UK Social Housing. The purpose of the trip is to exchange information, and practical experience relating to the maintenance of social housing stock with the colleagues in the area we visit. This year our topic is resident involvement in estate management.

There are a limited number (15) of places to be offered to non NHMF Committee members on a first come first served basis. Priority will be given to members of the Contractor Forum and organisations subscribing to the M3NHF Schedule of Rates.

There is a great deal to see in Copenhagen, Denmark and Malmo, Sweden. The two are connected by a road and rail bridge. On Day 1 The Federation of Social Housing Organisations in Denmark (in Danish: Boligselskabernes Landsforening — www.bl.dk ) has offered to host us for the day. They will help us to understand how social housing is structured and funded in Denmark and we will visit two regeneration projects. On Day 2 we will travel by coach for guided tours of a two of sites including part of the very impressive sustainable city programme in Malmo.

We will end at Copenhagen airport for those catching return flights on Friday. Please book flights leaving after 17.30. Delegates wishing to stay for longer at their own expense they can easily return to the hotel in the city centre. Flights are much cheaper if arranged well in advance.
