Stock Rationalisation

Mervyn will explore the contribution of stock rationalisation to Asset Management Strategies and the potential benefits to operational efficiency, service delivery, community engagement and neighbourhood regeneration.

Delegates will be taken through the process of selection and the various forms that rationalisation may take including transfers, stock swaps, disposals, reconfiguration and change of use.  We will go on to examine the issues that need to be taken into account when creating a rationalisation programme, including valuation, legal and accountancy matters and consultation with residents and stakeholders.  We will examine how to organise a programme.

Linda will describe The Home Group’s experience of mounting a stock rationalisation programme.
