Workshop 2e - Tuesday 14:00

Providing Digital TV in multi dweller units

This session will focus on how to use innovative technology will enable you to maximise revenue and maintain and increase ARPU by cost efficiently distributing television, telephony and internet services within multi-dwelling building such as apartment blocks and hotels using existing wiring.

It will explain how excellent triple play solutions can be offered using existing co-axial cable in MDUs. With a large proportion of people living in MDUs this is obviously a suitable technology to secure difficult to reach customers and offer a wide range of triple play services.

Pace MultiDweller is effectively a mini video headend which will sit at the distribution point in the multidwelling unit and take DVB/IP signals allowing each dwelling to take individual channels on request from client devices. It therefore uses existing infrastructures in an intelligent way to permit multi-play services to be carried over co-axial cables without labour intensive infrastructure modification. Similar signals to a traditional cable TV network are created.
