Radian Housing has been undertaking whole house retrofit projects for 5 years. This presentation will provide a number of case studies of retrofit projects that  have been completed to exemplar environmental standards. The focus will be on the ‘Retrofit South East’ project, the first project of its kind in Europe operated by a social housing provider to help build capacity for low carbon retrofit. This research project managed by Radian Services (DLO) has the advanced retrofit of an entire street as a centrepiece. Our experience of learning by doing has provided us with a clear insight into the practicalities and challenges that the retrofit agenda poses Radian and similar organisations. Reference will be made to innovation and performance in use findings from the date we have collected. The impact on and feedback from residents will also be covered.
