In early 2010 the Technology Strategy Board invested £17m in the Retrofit for the Future programme by commissioning 86 projects covering 119 social dwellings to target an 80% reduction in carbon emissions. The first projects kicked off in summer 2010, with the final projects being completed by March 2011. Following completion the projects will be monitored for two years to determine actual performance. This session will provide an insight into the projects, some early findings, planned future activities, and how you will be able to find out more as the projects progress. The projects will provide feedback on whether we have the technologies and systems able to achieve an 80% cut in carbon, and whether it is potentially affordable.
