1D Getting the basics right - a new charter for repairs and maintenance

We know what tenants want from their landlord is a repairs service that is delivered well. 'Getting the basics right' aims to focus landlords on the 'core' of an effective repairs service from both a tenants and landlords perspective.

CIH and Mears Group are leading a campaign, which will:

identify what elements are important in delivering an efficient and effective repairs and maintenance service.

lead in the development of a sector owned 'Charter' that sets out the principles and services that underpin good repairs and maintenance service,

provoke debate and challenge around the way the sector currently delivers repairs and maintenance services.

This workshop will preview the new Charter and engage delegates in debate around what makes a good repairs service, support landlords to identify and separate out core services from those which are added value activities, and identify challenges to the sector.
