We know what tenants want from their landlord is a repairs service that is delivered well. 'Getting the basics right' aims to focus landlords on the 'core' of an effective repairs service from both a tenants and landlords perspective.
CIH and Mears Group are leading a campaign, which will:
• identify what elements are important in delivering an efficient and effective repairs and maintenance service.
• lead in the development of a sector owned 'Charter' that sets out the principles and services that underpin good repairs and maintenance service,
• provoke debate and challenge around the way the sector currently delivers repairs and maintenance services.
This workshop will preview the new Charter and engage delegates in debate around what makes a good repairs service, support landlords to identify and separate out core services from those which are added value activities, and identify challenges to the sector.
