This session will consider the strategic importance of social landlords’ existing stock in the light of recent policy developments, including the Affordable Housing Programme, Zero Carbon Allowable Solutions, and the Green Deal and ECO.
It will explore the issues facing social landlords in maintaining their stock and aiming to improve its energy efficiency; and consider examples of good practice from local authorities and housing associations. It will review what help and information is available.
Delegates will be invited to discuss how social landlords can develop a strategy to improve their stock, building on good practice and avoiding the pitfalls inherent in adopting new technology.
