The government’s “green deal” will focus on energy efficiency improvements in homes.  This session will set out to challenge asset maintenance teams about what more they can be doing to improve the environmental sustainability of their stock using their own “green deals”.  Energy efficiency, water efficiency, waste recycling, ecological enhancement  and adaptation to the effects of climate change will all be explored.  What are the challenges and what are other landlords already doing?  Learning from the 2012 SHIFT sustainability survey of social landlords will be presented.
