Paul Wenham

Chartered Surveyor & Chartered Builder, Group Property Director with over 30 years of housing and technical experience at senior level within the public and commercial sector.

Lead officer for clients’ property portfolio in respect of asset management, compliance, stock reinvestment, maintenance, improvements, stock performance, rationalisation and customer service.

Leading and delivering change management through project related initiatives. Expertise in organising and delivering services to Residents through delivery and procurement initiatives, working closely with organisational teams and resident stakeholders.

 

Key achievements:

  • Formed the G15 Asset Management Directors Group, bringing together typical areas of interest within the housing sector, providing a common approach to service delivery.
  • Lead Officer in Southern Housing Groups “Building Our Future” corporate change programme which reviewed and delivered change to the Group’s service operation and delivery.
  • Created in-house Repairs Team, which included staffing, vehicles, IT systems (both operational and linkages to accounting software), office, telephony and call centre. 
  • Designed Agreed Maximum Price Model (AMP) for contracting arrangements – reduced service costs significantly, increased customer satisfaction and provided cost certainty.
  • In the role of Consultant, working directly with RSLs and ALMOs to achieve full partnering status for repairs and maintenance procurement in addition to Decent Homes, major repairs and regeneration projects.  

Chairman of the National Housing Federation Maintenance Forum and Executive Committees. Enabling, as client, to influence the development of schedules, contracts, specifications and software, in addition to promoting best practice from within the sector, working closely with the NHF and supporting up to date and relevant publications.
