Tony Trott is Principal of ESI Consulting specialising in service improvement, regeneration analysis, and governance; and providing interim and project management services.  Tony occasionally acts as an Inspector for the Audit Commission, and is Chair of Somer Housing Group.

Tony is a chartered surveyor, and has worked in the sector for over 30 years, predominantly with residents and landlords on service improvements organisational management and stock transfers.  In the early 1990s he set up and ran the Housing Corporation's Tenant Services Division, and was the Director responsible for introducing the Corporation's first tenant participation strategy over 15 year ago.

He has written guides for the RICS, CIH, JRF and central government on - housing policy; housing management; stock transfer valuations and warranties; common housing registers; compulsory competitive tendering; community and choice based lettings; regeneration; accountability, governance and regulation.
