Maxine Gordon

Director of Housing, Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing
LondonRegion: London

Maxine is delighted to be joining the NHMF Committee having worked in the social housing sector for the past 30 years. Her career has included a variety of roles at several large national registered providers and more recently at an inner-city local authority.

Maxine’s specialism is housing management and the customer experience, (in her own words: I seem to always end up leading on complaints wherever I go!), means she has had to work closely with her colleagues in responsive repairs and asset management.

With a career starting in leasehold management in 1993 before moving into housing management and customer service, Maxine has managed small and large teams delivering generic and specialist services to residents.

In her current role as Director of Resident and Business Services at Lewisham Council, Maxine manages 500 people indirectly across several services including facilities management, corporate customer relations and revenue services.

Specialisms

One of Maxine’s career highlights is leading on the transformation of the housing management service (300 staff) at Catalyst. This change led to smaller housing patches and more area-based service delivery.
