Louise Every

Policy Advisor at the Environment Agency

Louise is a policy advisor on sustainable development at the Environment Agency. Since joining the Agency in November 2006, Louise has managed the groundbreaking feasibility study Towards water neutrality in the Thames Gateway published in November 2007 at the Thames Gateway Forum. The study found that it is technically possible to build the planned 165,000 new homes in the Gateway and have no overall rise in demand for water by implementing an ambitious water efficiency program.

Prior to joining the Agency, Louise was a research fellow in sustainability at the institute for public policy research from 2002 to 2006. At ippr she worked on water efficiency targets, sustainable development in the South East and bus regulation. A geographer by training Louise gained her masters from the University of Arizona.
