Housing Association procurement practice study

The Audit Commission has been looking at procurement as part of a joint programme of studies with the Housing Corporation. This study will look at the different methods of modern procurement open to housing associations, the role of procurement in achieving efficiency savings, the role of residents in procurement decisions and will explore the key criteria for achieving effective procurement. Janet Williams, the report author, will highlight positive examples of procurement practice and point the way to promote efficiency and savings through procurement practices. Lessons for associations and for contractors will be teased out in this presentation.
