Gilli Hobbs has been working in the field of resource efficiency since 1990. For the past 14 years she has mainly focused on best practice in construction and demolition waste management and has led the development of waste benchmarking and minimisation initiatives in recent years.  A suite of tools has been developed as part of this work under the banner of 'smartwaste'. She has been project leader of the T-Zero project since 2005, a part Government funded project to make it easier and cheaper to reduce carbon emissions through refurbishment. Gilli is dedicated to programmes of work which promote and enable material resource efficiency in construction and other industry sectors.
