Addressing sustainability in a challenging environment
The workshop will consider the challenges sustainability poses for companies and organisations as they build their future plans. Creating sustainable value demands full integration of a sustainability strategy into the business strategy. It will demonstrate that success demands the whole company or organisation to engage with sustainability, and that a truly sustainable organisation needs to consider aspects beyond its normal sphere of operation. It will include elements of planning and strategy as well as some practical outputs from adopting a sustainable approach to business. Focusing on decorative paint, it will show the importance of using a 'cradle to cradle' approach to sustainability, looking at the wider impact of a business in and on the community. Whilst discussing the challenges, the workshop will also show some of the innovation and benefits achieved by adopting a sustainable approach to business.
