Providing front line services via Digital TV and mobile phones

There is a significant minority in the UK who do not enjoy access to PCs and broadband in their home. In tandem with this, and with the impending switchover from analogue to digital, more than 80% of homes now have digital television and the majority of these can enjoy interactive services via these devices. Add in mobile phones which are enjoyed by over 90% of adults and you have two channels to our core customers that have significant reach in our communities.

This session will explore what over 75 local authorities and housing associations are doing now with the DigiTV service that is run by Kirklees Council. Choice based lettings, repair requests, consultations and online reporting are amongst a wide range of services that you could deliver via SKY, Virgin Media, Freeview and mobile phones.
