Procurement preparation: planning for procurement success

Before a journey most people look at the map before they leave. Increasingly, some organisations going on a procurement journey only pull the map out once they are lost mid-route!

This workshop will focus on preparing to undertake a procurement exercise. This will include the following:

• What do you want to achieve from the procurement?
• How is the service currently delivered?
• What are the resource requirements?
• How will you ensure customers are engaged in the process?
• How will service standards be reflected in the process?
• How will you measure outputs against aspirations?

The presentation will draw on practical examples of how organisations have approached procurement with an emphasis on highlighting best practice.

A group discussion will consider the practical approaches to preparing for a procurement process.
