Paul is a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Construction Manager with a background in asset management and procurement.

He is a Fellow of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Building. He has Bachelor’s (BSc) degree in Building Surveying and a Masters (LLM) degree in Construction Law & Practice.

Paul’s current role is as the Director of Asset Management in the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE).  The NIHE owns over 82,000 social homes and he is responsible for a varied portfolio which includes Asset Strategy, Project Delivery, Building Safety, Procurement and the organisations Direct Labour resource.

He has over 30 years’ social housing experience within property maintenance and asset management within a public sector/local authority/housing association context.

Over the years Paul has held various technical and managerial roles within the property maintenance/asset management environment. Through these varied roles he has gained significant experience in the areas of property maintenance, asset management, project management, building safety, procurement and renewable energy/decarbonisation.
