Jon Moorhouse is an Architect and Academic leading research and development at Constructive Thinking Studio Limited. They work in the housing, commercial and leisure sectors and are deeply involved in research into low-energy housing and housing retrofit, leading live pilot projects for Social Housing clients and winning collaborative national and international research funding bids.
Jon is a founder member of ACUA (ArchiCAD Users Association International) and a regular organiser of the ACUA Summer BIM conference. He is currently collaborating with German, Austrian and Polish partners to develop an international BIM protocol. This work has enabled Constructive Thinking Studio to form a partner practice relationship with artuum architecture in Vienna, and foster a pan-European agile practice strategy for collaborative projects.
As a senior lecturer in Professional Practice at the University of Huddersfield, Jon is involved the UK and European architectural education reform debate and explores ways to link practice and education across Europe. He is a member of the IDL (International Design Lab) research group and an associate member of CUDAS (Centre for Urban Design, Architecture and Sustainability).
Jon is involved in a number of national and international research bids and projects including Horizon 2020, Erasmus Plus, Innovate UK KTP and Smart and NEA Technical Innovations.
