After having many different arrangements spread across the city, Derby Homes wanted a ‘one-stop-shop’ to supply all building materials, from one location, for their in-house repairs team. Derby Homes also wanted to move to an electronic method of invoicing to help achieve job-costing, reduce back-office costs and have robust price checking in place.
I am going to talk about what went well, what the ‘Red Herrings’ were, and what our plans for making further efficiencies on the material supply chain are.
