This session will look at what Tom sees as the emerging trends within construction.  Some of these will be familiar (digital construction, OSM) and some may not; Procuring for Value, productivity, the Future Homes Standard.  He argues that despite political turmoil, the trends he sees are actually quite consistent, and they share another common thread: risk.  They therefore have very significant implications for day to day practice and organisational culture.  Maintenance and asset managers are critical to success; why?  And what does a sophisticated and resilient response look like once they are on board?
