Martin Carey

Chief Executive, Urban Hope

Dr Martin Carey has been Chief Executive of Urban Hope since its inception in 2002. Prior to this he was Executive Dean Deanery of Hope in the Community, Assistant Registrar at Liverpool Hope University College and has also lectured in Sociology and Industrial Relations.

He is an active member a number of organisations including the Merseyside Anti Racial Alliance, LSC; LPG; HEI Consortium, and is Chair of Equal Opportunities.

 

Dr Carey’s key business challenges are threefold: to combine social enterprise with financial challenges confronting higher education; to impact on regeneration agenda; and to develop subsidiary company which is cost effective and makes a difference.
