Damp and mould in a property can have disasterous consequences for the health and well being of tenants. In light of the avoidable death of a child due to such conditions, housing providers need to be aware of their obligations and how to deal with complaints of damp and mould. This session will explore some of the common issues that arise when dealing with complaints from tenants and subsequent legal proceedings and how the legal landscape has changed since the implementation of the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018.
