NHMF Management Committee Meeting - July 2025
From a NHMF Service Provider Forum update and planning for the NHMF Maintenance Conference 2026 to a review of our Working Groups, it was a productive session!

In July, the NHMF Management Committee met to discuss the latest progress of the organisation.
From a NHMF Service Provider Forum update and planning for the NHMF Maintenance Conference 2026 to a review of our Working Groups, it was a productive session!
Our Working Groups have been put together to focus on the challenges and common themes across the social housing sector, including Healthy Homes, Procurement, Building Safety and Fire Safety, Net Zero, Training Retention and Apprenticeships, Technology and our regional HAMMAR groups.
Reviewing and defining the objectives for the next 12 months was fantastic in ensuring we remain relevant and focused on delivering the right support to maintenance professionals and social housing providers, further enhancing our engagement with the NHMF Service Provider Forum. We’ve also gathered lots of updates from the great work of the groups so far, which not only gives us lots to talk about over the coming months but also helps shape our conference agenda for January 2026.
Alongside the working groups, we’ve established some amazing partnerships with Healthy Homes Hub, Oxford Brookes University and CIH Futures as you will have seen from our recent updates. Discussing these and exploring the opportunities we have is a great step forward, setting the benchmark for future similar agreements.
We also discussed the new mentoring initiative we’re shaping to support and mentor colleagues in the sector – more to follow on this soon.
Last but not least, we have a preview of the report from the recent highly successful study tour, providing us the opportunity to collectively discuss our views on the parallels and differences between the UK and Germany.
Chair Neil Watts adds:
“These Management Committee meetings are a really productive space to examine how the NHMF is supporting our members and the wider community. There’s been some remarkable work across the group recently, and I’m looking forward to sharing more updates and launching new initiatives going forward. A big thank you to all the committee members for giving up their time to be part of the committee and working groups and helping to drive change in our sector.”
