Speakers/ program highlights:

  • Risk Management of Trees: Avoid prosecution and be clear what benchmark standard/ obligations the new 2nd edition NTSG (The National Tree Safety Group) published guidance places upon portfolio managers. Simon Richmond, from the Arboricultural Association will help clarify the ‘common sense’ approach, and how to select a competent arboriculturist.

  • How I.T. connected is your Organisation: Philippe Demougin, Property Innovation Manager at Flagship Housing Group will practically explain the Connected Homes research findings, including barriers, opportunities, and organisational shifts needed to move from isolated IoT pilots to meaningful, scaled service transformation across the housing sector.

  • Is your Housing Associations now a regulated energy company? Will Routh, Director/Co-founder of the excellent Chirpy Heat will re-iterate what you need to know about communal heating obligations following new the regulation (April 2025). This session will cover key information including dates, impacts on housing providers and the actions required to maintain compliance.

  • Place Based Working – a New Delivery Approach. Paul Taylor, Innovation Coach, will be explaining the principles and demonstrable results achieved so far from delivering maintenance, housing and community services in a radical new way at Bromford Housing.

  • Electrical Regulation + Best Practice Update. A chance to hear direct from the ECA regarding industry and sector trends around developing/anticipated changes to electrical compliance as well as current interpretation of electrical regulation. Bring your queries ready ……

  • Drains/ Drain Surveys and the Use of Technology. No need to think about drainage on our estates .… until of course they go wrong. If you’ve not heard Ross Charters, from Complete Preservation Ltd before, you’re in for a treat! He will guide us through the significance of drains in controlling dampness in buildings, techniques, surveys and the use of available technology, as well a look at a practical / relevant case study.

  • German versus UK: How does state of the art Housing Sector property maintenance/ refurbishment in Berlin compare to the UK? Some interesting findings from our recent NHMF Berlin Study Tour 2025. 

  • Five Zeros Supercar Barn: A privileged chance to take in the automotive delights housed within our venue ….. provided free as part of this HAMMAR Southwest seminar day.
