The last NHMF Study Tour took place in Ireland from Wednesday 12 until Friday 14 October 2016. The tour started off in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on 12 October. The topic of the study tour was adding social value and creating social enterprise. Its purpose was to exchange ideas and practical experience relating to the maintenance of social housing stock with colleagues.
On the first day we launched “NHMF Ireland” at the Titanic Centre. On Thursday we travelled to Limerick by coach visiting sites en route. On the final day, Friday 14, we presented NHMF Ireland to housing providers and heard about some of their challenges and initiatives.
The study tour was attended by members of the NHMF committee and Directors or Senior Managers working in the maintenance or asset management areas of UK, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland Social Housing. We also welcomed a number of members of the NHMF Contractor Forum.
