Wednesday 18 May

Please arrive at the hotel by 3:00pm. Details of the 4* accommodation will be provided on booking, the hotel is half an hour away from the airport via train or 20min taxi ride.

Introduction to Austrian Housing |Austrian Federation of Housing Associations

The role of HAs in the Austrian housing market:

  • The model of limited-profit housing - cost-rents and revolving funds
  • Financing
  • Maintenance, improvement, renovation
  • Energy efficiency and energy supply - decarbonisation

This session will be followed by an on-site project tour with one of Vienna's housing associations.

Afternoon

Vienna's Housing History

Guided tour uncovering the roots of the model and transition to its current success. The tour will include a visit to one of Europe's largest urban development projects.

Evening Dinner at a local restaurant followed by drinks reception at the hotel.

The Vienna Housing Model & Project Tour |Wiener Wohnen (City of Vienna)

Representatives from the largest municipal property management company in Europe will take us through the role of HAs in the Austrian housing market. The tour will include a visit to Karl Marx Hof, one of the oldest single residential buildings in the world.

Afternoon Late Lunch
Evening Tour ends. We ask that you book your return ticket for 5:00pm or later so as not to miss out.
