New Fire Safety Regulations: Are You Ready?

From 6th April 2026, Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) become mandatory for residents with disabilities in high-rise buildings.

The scale is significant: 131,000-248,900 vulnerable residents could require individual assessments, with 50% of high-rise social housing affected.

The challenge goes beyond compliance. This is about person-centred safety planning and strengthened resident relationships.

Forward-looking organisations should start investigating mitigation measures, funding routes, and staff training now.
