Neil brings extensive experience across the social housing and construction sectors, with a strong track record in repairs, maintenance, customer experience, health and safety, and operational delivery. Neil holds the position of NHMF as Group Board Interim Chair and Management Team Chair, alongside his role as Managing Director – Responsive Repairs at Axis CLC.

Neil comments: “The housing maintenance sector is under increasing pressure from rising expectations around building safety, resident wellbeing, regulatory compliance and the need to deliver better outcomes from constrained resources.

“The NHMF has always been recognised as a centre of excellence, championing innovation, collaboration and excellence in maintenance and asset management. We bring together sector expertise through the board, management team, working groups, Service Provider Forum, Frameworx activity, events and knowledge-sharing programmes. Our goal is to become more integrated across these groups so our events and wider communications deliver greater clarity, consistency and impact to housing providers and other organisations involved in improving property performance, particularly when it comes to promoting best practice.

“The NHMF has a powerful ecosystem of expertise across its board, management team, working groups, partners, service providers and events. My focus will be on creating stronger connections between those voices, modernising how we communicate, and building the visibility and influence needed to support the sector now and in the years ahead as a trusted advocate and future-focused voice for housing maintenance and asset management.”

“Finally, I would like to thank Stephanie for her work as chair and in leading the NHMF over the last 4 years.”
